Eleven persons have been shot dead in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
They were reportedly returning from a weekly village market, late Tuesday night, when they were attacked by gunmen.
Four others were injured and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a different incident, the Fulani Cattle Breeders Association in Plateau, has raised an alarm, over alleged killings of its members in some parts of the state.
The state chairman of the group, Nura Muhammad told journalists that locals recently murdered 19 of its members and accuses security operatives of not doing enough to stop the alleged killings.
