Osun state government has organised a one day seminar for journalists and civil society organisations in line with the road map for Osun state Social Health Insurance Scheme.
The essence is to improve the knowledge and awareness of media practitioners and CSOs on how to effectively communicate the benefits of Health Insurance to the populace.
TVC News Correspondent, Rafiu Hammed reports that Osun state is among the three piloting states of the federation benefiting from the Basic Health care provision fund through the Federal Government.
With this development, health care will now be accessible and affordable by everyone irrespective of their status through the state health insurance scheme.

To achieve this universal health coverage, these selected journalists and representatives of civil society organisations across the state are invited for this sensitisation meeting.
Resource persons at the meeting harped on the need for people, especially the wealthy, to join hands in making the programme work.
They also urged participants to ensure the message is passed across to the residents.
