The all progressives Congress in Osun State has inaugurated an eleven Man committee to reposition the party and reconcile all aggrieved members.
Inaugurating the Committee at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola described Osun State as a natural home of the progressives despite the outcome of recent elections in the states.
The All Progressives Congress in Osun State didn’t fare well in the recently concluded General Election.
The party lost all the three Senatorial seats, nine house of representatives and and twenty-five out of the twenty-six state assembly seats to the PDP.
Members of the APC had since attributed the loss to intimidation and harassments employed by the ruling PDP as well as internal wrangling among members which led to anti-party activities.
Notwithstanding the setbacks, the leadership of the party insists that Osun State is a natural home of the progressives.
Going forward, the party sets up this committee to propose template for review party’s activities in recent times, resolve internal disputes, and set agenda for better inclusion of all in the party structure.
