The Ondo State Security Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, says it has notified neighboring Edo and Kogi States about the need to flush out bandits as part of measures to combat criminal activity at border villages.

The State Commander of Amotekun and Special Adviser to the State Governor on Security Matters, Adetunji Adeleye disclosed this to newsmen, after another round of Operation Show of Force in Ondo North Senatorial District of the state.

Security agencies in Ondo State launched another round of Operation Show of Force around the state a few days after Eid ul-Kabir.

This time, they conducted the drill in Ondo North Senatorial District of the state, known for high rate of kidnapping.

Security agencies, including the Police, the Civil Defence, the Amotekun Corps among others, participated in the exercise.

The State Commander of Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye gave reasons for continuation of the exercise, even after the Salah break.

Adeleye also frowned at influx of criminals to the state from neighbouring Edo and Kogi states.

He said the command has reached out to security agencies in the two states for joint action.

The Commander also spoke on the newly signed Amotekun Amendment law by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
