The Candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the November, 2016 Governorship Election in Ondo State, Olusola Oke has returned to the camp of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Oke, who led his supporters back to the APC, was received by the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, a chieftain of the party, Ade Adetimehin and notable members of the APC.

TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo witnessed the event and reports that Olusola Oke left the All Progressives Congress (APC) shortly after the party primary election in August, 2016 and joined the Alliance Democracy (AD), the platform on which he contested and lost the governorship poll in
November that year.

While welcoming Oke and his supporters back into APC’s fold, Akeredolu said the party is ready to accommodate them.  He explained that there is an appointed time for everybody, just as he
tasked them to be loyal to the party, a position that was corroborated by the State acting chairman of the party.

For Oke and some of his supporters like a former member of the State House of Assembly, Akindele Adeniyi, their return to APC is to join others to build the party.

More and more members of the APC, who defected in the wake of the primary election crisis, are expected to return to build the party.
