The people of Obomkpa Community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta are happy that the State governor Ifeanyi Okowa has completed an important road which has been in a deplorable state for more than three decades.
The Obomkpa people who could not hide their joy when the governor came to the area for the inauguration of the 6.68 kilometre Obomkpa/Idumuogo road, thanked him for the gesture and prayed for God’s guidance as he sets to commence his second term in office.
Excitement rented the air upon the arrival of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to Inauguration the Obomkpa/Idumuogo road. He paid a visit to the palace of the traditional ruler who thanked him for bringing development to every part of the state but wants more.
Narrating the tales of Obomkpa – Idumuogo road before now, the people said if it was not completed the imminent rainy season would have further worsen their situation.
The governor said despite the commitment of 50 percent of capital projects on road, the yearnings people are not satisfied. he promised to do more.
The economic activities of this area no doubt will witness a boost with the completion of the road as goods and services will be transported easily
