In a bid to find a lasting solution to unstable power supply in the state, boost the economic sector and create employment opportunities for the citizens, Ogun State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eight companies on renewable power generation.
This exercise which was held at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta had in attendance, representatives of the companies and that of the state government led by Olumide Ayeni, the Attoney-General and Commissioner for Justice, in Ogun State.
While speaking on the benefits of the project, Ayeni said if properly implemented, the problems of inadequate power supply will be a thing of the past.
Representative of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) at the event assured the state government of the company’s support for the project.
