Religious leaders across denominations consisting of Muslim and Christian clergymen converged on the PDP Secretariat at NNPC along Oke-Mosan road, Abeokuta, to offer special prayers for the Gubernatorial and other candidates of the party ahead of the 2023 political campaigns.

Defying the heavy downpour, the Christian Association of Nigeria (Ogun) led the prayer session and was handled by Apostle Kolajo of KOWEM Obantoko, Abeokuta, followed by Celestial Christian Church of God.
The Alawiye Musulumi of Egbaland, Alhaji Abdulazeez Balogun Baglo led the Islamic prayer session with recitations from the Holy Quran.
The clerics implored the Almighty God to grant the PDP candidates safety and victory as well as protect their followers as the party commences her campaigns across the State towards the 2023 general elections.
Some of the leaders of the party at the prayer session included; the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, the State Party Chairman, Alhaji Sikirulah Ogundele, the Balogun Itoku and Director-General of the Ladi Adebutu/Triple A Campaign Council, Chief Semiu Sodipo; Dr. Sunday Solarin, Hon. Akinbamiloye, Alhaji Amodemaja, Mrs Wuraola Arojo, Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, Otunba Odutola, Otunba Adenaike among others.
While delivering his vote of thanks, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu gave glory to God for the journey so far and noted that; he would have opted out of the race if it were for selfish gains but the need to liberate the people of Ogun State and the desire to impact humanity has kept him in the race.
He assured the good people of the State he won’t disappoint them as succour is at hand.
