The recurring cases of accidents caused by tanker drivers across the country has forced the Petroleum tanker drivers association, in collaboration with National Union Of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) to take up the responsibility of training its members.
The programme according to the facilitators has become a continuous exercise and the aim is to educate drivers on proper safety measures.
They maintained that in recent times, petroleum tanker drivers have caused accidents leading to loss of lives as well as properties running into millions of naira.
