Nigerian Army Commits To Enhancing Civil-Military Relations

The Nigerian Army has committed to enhancing media access to its operations across the country. 

According to the Army, this initiative will build greater trust with both the media and the civilian population.

This was disclosed during a media chat on Nigerian Army civil-military cooperation in Kano, which was attended by Victoria Ajayi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVC Communications.

It’s a gathering of Nigerian Army Officials and the Media executives.

The Army’s non kinetic solutions to tackling insecurity also includes promoting issues of national development, peace-building and community engagement through this media chat held in Kano state, Northwest Nigeria.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja was represented by the General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Major-General David Saraso, he pointed out that  that the chat was organised to improve media access to its operations and promote transparency.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVC Communications, Victoria Ajayi was part of the discussions here and she emphasized on the need for collaborations between the Nigerian Army and the Media.

The event had paper presentations and discussions by media practitioners.

The Director of Current Affairs, TVC Communications, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, among other media practitioners gave his input on the relationship between the media and Nigerian Army.

The collaborative effort between the Nigerian Army and the media marks a significant step towards building a more transparent and peaceful society.

As these discussions continue, the military and the media both agree there is a need for increased collaboration to foster national security and unity.
