Ministry of mines and steel sets aside N14bn for data exploration

The Nigeria’s ministry of Mine and Steel Development has set aside the sum of 14 Billion naira to provide comprehensive data mechanism that will sketch mineral deposits, quantity and locations for effective monitoring and exploration.

The ministry commission’s the Nigeria Geological survey to undertake a comprehensive data production, to provide a statistical structure which will produce a reliable data framework that will attract investors into the nation’s mining and steel exploration industries.

Nigeria’s minister of state Mine and Steel development, Abubakar Bawa-Bwari, speaking to the governor of Enugu state on the essence of the Geological survey’s 53th lecture in the state,tasked the collaboration of states with the federal government to set up purposeful vehicles that will improve the exploration of the nation’s endowed mineral resources.

He affirmed that Enugu and Job currently place Nigeria on the global map, noting that the potentials of rich mineral deposit scattered across the 774 local government areas of Nigeria is sufficient enough to move the country out of her being the poverty capital of the world.
