Messi Pens Emotional Letter To Argentinians Ahead of World Cup Final

Lionel Messi has shared an emotional message to Argentinians on the eve of the FIFA World Cup final, reflecting on his journey with the national team and expressing gratitude to his teammates, coaches and supporters.

According to a post by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X page, Messi said the greatest achievement of his international career was not only the trophies he had won but also the memories created along the way.

“The most beautiful thing about all these years was 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.”

The Argentina captain also praised the unity within the squad, saying the experiences they shared both on and off the pitch had made the team stronger.
“Sharing day-to-day life with this group, competing together, picking ourselves up in the difficult moments, and 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩.”

Messi went on to thank his teammates, the coaching staff and everyone working behind the scenes with the national team.

Looking ahead to the final, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner insisted that regardless of the outcome, the current Argentina squad had already secured its place in history.

Argentina will take on Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at 8 p.m. (Nigerian time) on Saturday, with Messi aiming to guide La Albiceleste to another world title.
