The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has dismissed claims that it has commenced registration for a ₦50,000 National Support Allowance, describing the reports circulating online as false.
In a post shared on its official X page on Sunday, the ministry urged Nigerians to ignore fraudulent messages, links and websites claiming to offer registration for the purported allowance.

“The Fed. Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has NOT commenced registration for any ₦50,000 National Support Allowance. Disregard fraudulent messages, links and websites claiming otherwise. Verify any info only through official govt channels,” the ministry stated.
The ministry advised members of the public to rely only on official government communication channels for accurate information on its programmes and interventions.

It also warned Nigerians against engaging with unverified websites or sharing personal information with individuals or platforms promoting the fake registration exercise.
