With barely five days to the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir festivities, the Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle has distributed 4,860 Rams and Cash worth N390 Million to some residents of Zamfara.
Beneficiaries of the Gesture Include Executive members of the All Progressive Party, APC at the State, Local government and wards level.
Others are party elders, youths, women groups, Ulamas, less privileged persons, orphans and the needy as well as party members across the State.
Former political appointees during the Matawalle’s administration which include commissioners, Special Advisers, Directors General, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Permanent Commissioners and Board members also benefited.
A press statement by the Zamfara APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris says such Gesture by the former Zamfara Governor is part of his tradition to extent hands of love to his people during festive seasons.
The statement also adds that 140 persons selected from across the 14 local government areas of the state were given N100,000 each to help them celebrate Sallah with their families.
A good number of politicians who contributed towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election from the North West zone of the APC were also considered in the Sallah dash out.
The Minister of State For Defence who was Zamfara former Governor during the 2023 elections was also The APC coordinator in the zone and has played a key role in Tinubu’s emergence as Nigeria’s President.
Mr. Matawalle thanked Nigerians especially the North West Zone were he hailed from for supporting President Tinubu’s administration and urge them to maintain the tempo as the Tinubu’s led government is committed to rebuilding Nigeria and the restoration of peace across the country.
