The Maritime sub sector have been urged to take advantage of the Acting President’s business initiative on ease of doing business in Nigeria, to establish a hub status in the West African Region.
Members of the Nigerian Maritime Law Association advanced this position while meeting with the management of the Nigerian Shippers Council on the need for a synchronized legal infrastructure in the sector.
Both groups agree that it has become necessary to build a veritable roadmap that will ensure that the country’s maritime laws are in tandem with established conventions.
