The main gate of the national assembly has been barricaded for the second time in one week by angry protesters who are protesting the alleged takeover of their land by the Nigerian Army.
The protesters, who are indigenes of the FCT, want lawmakers to intervene over an alleged forceful take over of their land by the Nigerian Army.
The protesters insist that the President of the senate should give a strong assurance that the national assembly will mediate in the escalating disagreement between rural dwellers and the Army.
They said majority of FCT residents are farmers who are now unable to go to their farmlands for fear on harassment and molestation by the military.
