Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC and civil society groups have joined their colleagues across the country to begin a nationwide protest over fuel subsidy removal.
Workers participating in the protest are drawn from various unions across different sectors in the country.
They started their walk under the bridge in Ikeja and will stop at the Governor’s Office in Alausa, Ikeja.
The protest came less than 48 hours after President Bola Tinubu addressed the country to roll out some relief packages for the citizens..
According to the leadership of the Labour Centre, they want more worker friendly policies by the government.
