Kebbi state government has approved the comprehensive transformation of Radio Kebbi to enhance effective service delivery.
Commissioner of Information Yakubu Ahmed was tasked with overseeing the station’s transformation by Governor Nasir Idris.

Previously burnt-down office blocks have been rebuilt, and new amenities such as toilets, TV sets, refrigerators, tables, and chairs have been installed.

The studios and control rooms have been modernized with soundproof, tiles, and air conditioning systems.
Additionally, Kebbi Radio has been fully computerized, with interconnected news and programming sections to streamline news editing, ensure uninterrupted broadcasting, with dedicated power lines being put in place.
Commissioner Ahmed praised the Governor’s forward-thinking leadership, stating that the upgrades will significantly enhance the station’s quality production and cultural relevance.
