Kebbi State House of Assembly has confirmed a seasoned public servant, Hassan Warrah pas a Commissioner-nominee to join the State Executive Council.
The Kebbi State House of Assembly, in a plenary session held on Wednesday, July 16th, confirmed the appointment of Garba Hassan Warrah as a new commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
Presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru, the session began with solemn prayers — lawmakers honoring the memory of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari and offering heartfelt wishes for the speedy recovery of Hajiya Hauwa’u Idris, the ailing mother of the state governor currently receiving treatment in Saudi Arabia.

The confirmation came following a formal request from the State Governor, read to the House, seeking approval for Warrah’s appointment.
Known for his deep-rooted experience in grassroots governance, Alhaji Garba Hassan Warrah previously served as Sole Administrator and later Executive Chairman of Ngaski Local Government. He also held the role of Special Adviser on Solid Minerals Development under former Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
After a thorough screening process, the lawmakers gave their unanimous approval — a decision welcomed with nods of support across the chamber.
Political observers say Warrah’s addition to the State Executive Council could bring a wealth of experience and a new level of administrative depth to Governor Nasir Idris’s cabinet.
