Joseph Allbasu Kunini has been elected as the new speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, following the resignation of the former speaker Abel Peter Diah and his deputy.
Hammanadama Abdullahi, member representing Bali Two constituency is now elected as the deputy speaker of the House.
The new speaker in his acceptance speech called on the members to put aside their differences and work collectively for the interest of the state.
He said; “Taraba should be greater than all of us..”
Joseph Kunini promised to work with the leadership of the house tirelessly round the clock to ensure harmonious relationship between the three arms of the governments.
