The Jigawa State Police Command has assured residents of a secure and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, deploying officers and resources to maintain law and order before, during, and after the festivities.
Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, psc, has ordered strategic security measures, including heightened patrols, surveillance, and the deployment of personnel to key locations such as prayer grounds, recreational centers, markets, and other public spaces.
In collaboration with sister security agencies, the Command will ensure a proactive approach to prevent any breach of peace. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station for immediate action.
The Command also enforces the ban on fireworks and explosive devices, warning that violators will face legal consequences. Parents and guardians are advised to monitor their children’s activities to ensure compliance with the law.
CP Abdullahi appreciates the support and cooperation of Jigawa residents in upholding peace and security. He calls on all citizens to use this occasion to pray for unity, progress, and national stability.
