As regional tensions rise, the Israeli military says it has launched air, land, and sea operations on more than 100 targets in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Ministry in the Hamas-ruled Palestinian territories, 125 people were murdered and 318 were injured in a 24-hour period.
An Israeli strike destroyed a home in southern Gaza that the military had deemed a safe zone, killing at least 12 individuals, the majority of whom were youngsters, according to Palestinian hospital officials said.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has stated that military operations in southern Gaza, which have included targeting refugee camps and “safe zones” in the past, will continue.
The Israeli military campaign has displaced more than 85 percent of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents, leveled much of northern Gaza, and pushed already displaced Palestinians into smaller slivers of territory with no security, food, water, or medicines.
Since the start of the current conflict on October 7, at least 22,438 people have been killed and 57,614 have been injured in Israeli assaults on Gaza.
