The Independent National Electoral Commission in Imo state has declared the candidate of the people’s democratic party, winner of the governorship election.
According to the returning officer Prof Francis Otunta, Emeka Ihedioha polled 273, 404 votes to beat his closest rival, Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance who polled 190, 364 votes.
