IGR: Imo Government employs 200 skilled youths

Imo State Government has engaged over two hundred highly-skilled citizens to assess, collect and account for the internally generated revenue of the state.

At the induction of new employees in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Governor Hope Uzodinma said the effort will streamline governance to block leakages in the system.

Uncertainties in the global oil market has led to dwindling oil revenues in Nigeria. This has caused a drop in monthlyballocations to states in the federation.

The Imo State Government is working out modalities to block all leakages and boost its internal revenue base.

The State Internal Revenue Service has engaged over two hundred youths to actualise the shared prosperity mantra of the government.

Governor Hope Uzodinma enjoined the new employees to deploy their wealth of experience to help government realise it’s desired objectives of developing the state.
