Imo State Government has engaged over two hundred highly-skilled citizens to assess, collect and account for the internally generated revenue of the state.
At the induction of new employees in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Governor Hope Uzodinma said the effort will streamline governance to block leakages in the system.
Uncertainties in the global oil market has led to dwindling oil revenues in Nigeria. This has caused a drop in monthlyballocations to states in the federation.
