An improvised explosive device known as IED has detonated in Goniri community of Yobe State.

Several donkeys were killed in the blast, while a woman sustained serious injuries in the unfortunate incident.

No further casualties have been reported at this time.

Security agencies are investigating the cause of the blast and also monitoring the situation as details are still emerging.
