Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid has given fans a glimpse into his quiet, family-centred lifestyle, admitting that he considers himself “boring” away from the spotlight.

Speaking during a recent edition of the Close Friends Only Speed Round alongside fellow singer Asake, the 35-year-old singer said fame has not changed the simple rhythm of his daily routine, noting that celebrities live ordinary lives like everyone else.

Asked to share something most people might not know about him, Wizkid said: “I see myself as boring. I wake up in the morning at 6:30, I take my kids to school. We [celebrities] are normal human beings too, man.”

He also revealed what matters most to him, listing his daughter Morayo, his music career and his faith in God as his top priorities.

He said: “For me, my daughter. I just wake up and smile. Music. God.”

Reflecting on his longevity in the industry, Wizkid credited his success to staying true to himself, choosing collaborations wisely and consistently putting in the work.
