The Ogun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Isabo Abeokuta will today rule on the petition filed by the Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in the March 9 Governorship Election, Adekunle Akinlade; seeking for removal of Governor Dapo Abiodun for allegedly committing falsehood in the forms submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Adekunle Akinlade and his party had alleged over-voting and said Dapo Abiodun lacks the qualification to contest the election in which he was declared winner.
The petitioner through his lead counsel, Mike Osuman, SAN, urged the tribunal headed by Justice Yusuf Halilu to invalidate the victory of Dapo Abiodun, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress and return his client as the Governor.
