Image result for Group commends INEC's conduct of 2019 electionsThe Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizen Awareness has applauded INEC’s efforts during and after the conduct of supplementary elections which took place in some states.

They also called on politicians, security agencies and all citizens to support INEC in order to enhance the country’s democracy for future elections.

Tvc’s Kemi Balogun reports that over the last couple of weeks Nigerians had once again gone to the polls to elect their leaders. It was an election applauded by both the local and international community.

The electoral umpire at the centre of it all and saddled with the responsibility of conducting a free, fair and credible election has gotten
the thumbs up from different quarters.

This group briefing journalists in Abuja believes that although there were a few mishaps in some states the peculiarity of inconclusive elections is not new to Nigeria.

They agree that the commission was conscious and prudent in handling situations that could have hampered an effective conclusion of the election
results in those areas.

This centre hopes that future elections could be a lot better if all hands are on deck to make the job of the electoral umpire smoother and to improve
the country’s democratic process.
