The Osun State Government has threatened to ban all mining activities in all parts of the state if cases of kidnapping continue.
The State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola stated this at the security stakeholders meeting held in Ilesa, Osun State.

Recently, cases of kidnapping are being reported in some parts of the state, allegedly being perpetrated by some illegal miners.
The State Governor warned that Government will no longer tolerate illegal mining.
Heads of security agencies in attendance solicited cooperation of all towards making the state inhabitable for criminals
