Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, has flagged off the construction of rural roads project at Yauri Highway – Hundeji town in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
He also announced that he has received approval for the revocation of the contract for KoKo /Dabai road, disclosing that after documentation of the road, the flag off for the re- construction would be performed.
Governor Nasir Idris flagged-off the road construction project, he says this signifies a major milestone in the fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people.
Governor Idris Says his administration will continue to do more People-oriented projects in the state to cater for the well-being of the populace.
The Governor promised that his administration would flag off free distribution of fertiliser to farmers on Tuesday with the aim of boosting food production in the state.
He acknowledged the return of peace in Yauri Emirate, and assured the Emir of Yauri of his willingness to increase support for the security agencies to protect farmers for increased production.
The State Coordinator of project RAAMP, Idris Adamu in his speech announced that the 6.55 kilometers road will be completed in one year , but he hopes the contractor will complete it in 8 months.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources Shehu Muazu expressed appreciation to the state Governor for his effort in providing infrastructural development in the State.
The Emir of Yauri Muhammadu Zayyanu thanked the governor for his developmental efforts in his emirate and appealed for the extension of the road projects to other neighbouring communities in the area.
