The remains of former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived Daura his hometown for final burial.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recieved the remains of the former President and Military Head of State from a delegation he sent to London to repatriate his remains following his death after a battle with an undisclosed illness in a London hospital.
The delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima touched down with his remains and members of his family led by his Widow, Aisha Buhari, at 2pm at the Katsina Airport.

His remains was moved from the Aircraft after the disembankment of the delegation and members of his family by officers of the Nigerian Armed forces of the rank of Major General and equivalent.
The body has now arrived in his hometown of Daura for final burial with his successor, President Bola Tinubu, leading the State burial and tributes for him.
He is expected to be buried in front of his personal house in Daura before sunset according to Islamic rites.

His remains was received by a crowd of residents and Nigerains from all walks of life.
Prayers will be held for the repose of his soul including recitation from the holy Quran before the Janazah prayers and burial.
