Fmr. Zamfara gov. Yari to award full scholarship to 1,700 indigenes

The Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, at the National Assembly Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar has offered full scholarship to one thousand seven hundred Zamfara indigenes

The move by the former Zamfara governor is part of efforts to encourage and support the development of education in the state

At a press conference held in Gusau, chairman of the Abdullaziz Yari Scholarship Initiative, Tijjani Kaura said senator Yari deemed it fit to support children of the poor, orphans and the vulnerable to further their education considering it’s importance

The prospective beneficiaries will be drawn from across the fourteen Local Govt Areas of the state to study in different Tertiary institutions across the country

The scholarship is expected to start from 2024/2025 Academic Session and will be sustained for the entire period of 4, 5 or 6 years of the Degree program, depending on individual’s course of study.
