Around a thousand devotees prayed with rosaries and sang hymns as bishops and the Philippines’ own cardinal read sermons against what they say are not “pro-life” policies in government.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines previously held their “Walk for Life” in February 2017 to protest Duterte’s anti-narcotics crackdown.
More than 3,000 suspected drug users and pushers have been killed since Duterte took office in 2016. Police said the killings resulted from self-defence.
