The industrial training fund is set to commence training for the first phase of its Skill-Up artisan training program before the end of June, 2024.
Speaking at the Inaugural meeting on the Implementation of Skill-Up Artisans Program for Executives of Enlisted Skills Training Centers in Abuja, the Director general of the fund reveals that the training will be done in four different Nigerian languages.
The Industrial Training Fund has a mandate to promote the acquisition of skills in industry and commerce.
To achieve this mandate, the fund introduce the skill-up artisans program to boost the capacity of Nigeria artisans to meet international best practices.
SUPA is a comprehensive initiative that will enhance quality service delivery through training, certification and licensing of Nigerian Artisans to promote the growth of small and medium sized enterprises.
Here, the fund is meeting with executives of the Skills Training Centers, as critical partners in the successful implementation of the program to address key implementation modalities.
At this meeting the Director General reveals plans on how the program will be implemented.
For the Centres Executives, the initiative will in no measure boost skills development in the country.
The training will include industry safety, Technical skills, examination and certification.
