FG committed to boosting financial inclusion

The federal government has committed itself to boosting financial services and credit facilities to the poor, noting that financial inclusion is an important factor for the growth of the nation’s economy.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo gave the assurance when a delegation led by Her Majesty, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, paid him a visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja in her capacity as the United Nation’s Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.

Queen Maxima is visiting Nigeria for the second time in five years. She said she was glad that Nigeria made great progress in financial inclusion since 2008, by growing from twenty three per cent to forty eight per cent.
