The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology , Uche Nnaji has assured Nigerians of the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with relevant stakeholders for the Nation’s economic growth.
This was disclosed during the presentation of a Think- Tank report by leaders of the Delegation for Research for Impact Knowledge Economy and Sustainable Development in Abuja.
Over the years Nigeria has paid little or no attention on the research development and innovation sector.
The sector also suffered government neglect.
But in recent times the world moved from resource to knowledge based economy and Nigeria has no choice but to follow suit.
It is why the Impact Knowledge economy and sustainable development decided to make a report that will interface with President Bola Tinubu’s eight point agenda for socio economic development.
Leaders of Research for Impact Knowledge Economy and Sustainable Development are here to present their think -tank report to the minister of innovation science and technology.
They want it implemented across all sectors to achieve economic development.
The Minister on his part disclosed that this Administration, has invested in creating a National Research Development and Innovation Centre under the supervision of the ministry.
The research hub will serve as a center for collective knowledge resource in the country.
The Minister directed that all agencies under ministry should fully be on board and engage with RDI Centre as it is crucial for the success of its initiatives.
