Preparations for the Area Council elections gathered momentum in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) early Saturday, with security operatives and electoral officials moving out to polling units.
As of 7 a.m., security personnel had departed the Kuje Divisional Police Station for various voting centres across the area council to provide protection for the electoral process.

At Science Primary School, Kuje, one of the designated distribution centres, corps members and other ad hoc electoral staff were seen collecting election materials ahead of deployment to their respective polling units.

Shortly after receiving the materials, the officials were escorted by security operatives to ensure safe delivery to the polling centres.
The area council remained calm as activities progressed toward the commencement of voting.
