The construction of the Southern park Expressway otherwise known as the Goodluck Jonathan gulped a total of 18 billion naira to get it completed.
This was disclosed by the F.C.T Minister, Nyesom Wike during the commissioning of the Southern parkway in Abuja.
Awarded in 2012 at 17 billion naira, the cost revision for completion of the Goodluck Jonathan Expressway was completed with 18 billion naira.

This Rapid East-West axis links the Central part of Abuja to Keffi, this road is strategic for outbound movement of workers in the city centre.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima at the commissioning said, Each infrastructure design in the F.C.T is done to meet the growing needs of its population.
F.C.T Minister Nyesom Wike is advocating for a second phase of the project which has 10 link bridges, and it serves as a connection between urban and rural areas.
This road will enhance easy vehicle movement and transportation efficiency.
