Experts, stakeholders call for promotion of STEM education for growth

Enthusiasts and Scholars in the sector converged for the fourth edition of the education stakeholders Summit in Ikorodu.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics where the focal points of discussions during the summit.

The keynote address delivered by Dr Waziri Adisa, a senior lecturer at the University of Lagos emphasised on the need for practical use of education and comprehensive model to promote STEM education to enable pragmatic growth for the 21st century.

The event which had in attendance Royal father’s led by the Ayogoran of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Adewal also had Awards presented to various schools groups and individuals for their commitment to the growth and developments of Education in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lecturer, Lagos State University, Babatunde Adisa stated that for Nigerian development to move rapidly like all the developing nations, we must adopt pragmatic education, invest massively in STEM education, formulate policies that are driven by school development, move teaching from teacher Center to student centered.
