Electricity controversy: ‘If anyone steals power, send him to jail’ – Salako

sola-salakoTVC N. President, consumer advocacy foundation of Nigeria, Sola Salako said, if anyone is found guilty of stealing power, he/she should be sent to jail, so that others will learn from it.

Salako a guest on TVC Breakfast show has said, most people unknowingly to the government connect power supply to use without paying a dine and that such people should be fished out.

She said, a new electricity tariff regime with potentially grave cost implications for urban dwellers, the rich and commercial concerns commenced since July . The new tariff regime reduces the cost of electricity for rural consumers who do not use electronics or other heavy equipment.
