Residents of Ekiti state have tasked the inspector general of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to ensure the deployment of more policemen to the state in order to curtail activities of criminals.
They made this known in Ekiti during a meeting with Deputy Inspector General of police, Abiodun at the Ekiti state police headquarters.
The coordinating Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of Southwest, Sylvester Alabi says the Nigeria Police Force will consider the adoption of drones and other technological means to make Ekiti state and other sub nationals of the country crime free.
Abiodun stated this in Ado-Ekiti during his maiden visit to Ekiti State police headquarters.
Mr. Alabi equally urged police officers to treat Ekiti citizens fairly by not stamping on their fundamental human rights. This according to him will assist the command in their policing strategies.
