The Civil Society Situation Situation Room has called on security agencies to refrain from intimidation and excessive use of force while on election duty in Edo State.
The Group called for professionalism during its maiden briefing in Benin City on the Edo Governorship election.
They say they would deploy 4000 observers to monitor the election across Edo State.

They appealed to political parties to promote peaceful conduct amongst their supporters and shun vote buying.
The Civil Society Situation Room also expressed hope that strategies put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission would yield the expected result.
