Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has called on Nigerians to reflect the values of love, forgiveness and unity as Christians mark the Easter celebration.
The governor made the appeal on Sunday while worshipping with Christian faithful at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Ozuh Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area, where he joined in commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Uzodinma urged citizens to imbibe the true essence of the season by promoting peaceful coexistence, extending support to one another and strengthening national unity.

He stressed the need for Nigerians to emulate the virtues of Christ, particularly forgiveness and compassion, noting that such values are critical to building a more harmonious society.
In his homily, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu, Thomas Obiategwu, also charged Nigerians to live according to the teachings of Easter.
He called on citizens to promote peace within their communities and urged leaders at all levels to demonstrate empathy and compassion in governance.
