A coalition of Delta State Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Forum has disrupted operations of the Warri Refinery And Petrochemical Company over alleged marginalization and denial of employment opportunities.

Raising the same issues against the Product And Pipelines Marketing Company, the protesting youth also vowed to resist what they called the planned relocation of the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company.

Youth leaders from Ijaw, Itsekiri, Isoko, Urhobo, Ukwani and Ndokwa converged on the Shaguolor Round-about area of Warri and used two high-bed trailers to block the entry and points from the Warri Refinery And Petrochemical Company.

They demand the immediate conversion of their kinsmen from the status of support staff to permanent staff of the subsidiaries of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

The Delta State Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Forum later walked into the company for a meeting with the Management but both parties could not find a common ground at the end of the meeting.
