The administration of governor Ifeanyi Okowa established three new state-of-the-art technical colleges in Effurun, Obiaruku, and Asaba to bridge the country’s skills training gap and create jobs for the youth population.

As the schools prepare to reopen on September 19th, the state government is preparing the newly hired teachers for success.

The teachers are enthusiastic about their new jobs, they believe the training will be beneficial as they prepare to impact students when classes resume on Monday.

Technical and vocational education helps the state government because it increases productivity, equips people with the skills they need to be independent, and advances the economy.
