Massive crowd of residents, well-wishers, and dignitaries flooded the ancient city of Ibadan on Friday to witness the historic coronation of Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The ceremony, held at the iconic Mapo Hall in the Beere area of the city, drew people from all walks of life, with major routes—including Total Garden to Mapo, Gate to Beere, Challenge to Beere, and Beere to Opo—packed with enthusiastic crowds celebrating the ascension of the new monarch.

Security was visibly tight, as personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, NSCDC, and local vigilante groups were deployed across strategic points to ensure order and safety throughout the event.

Prominent Nigerians, traditional rulers, political leaders, and cultural figures continued to arrive in steady streams, taking their seats in anticipation of the formal installation of Oba Ladoja, a respected statesman and former governor of Oyo State.
