The High Court two sitting in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State has fixed the 26th of June, 2025 to deliver its judgment on the ongoing trial of Oluwatimileyin Ajayi who is allegedly responsible for the killing of Salome Adaidu.
The Presiding Judge, Simeon Aboki disclosed this at the court after the prosecuting and defence counsels adopted their written addresses.
The defence counsels who filed their written addresses on the 6th of May, 2025 sought two reliefs and urged the court to discharge and aquint the defendant.
But the prosecution counsels who filed a 27 page final written address on 15th of May, 2025, urged the court to sentence Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to mandatory punishment in line with section 221 of penal code of Northern Nigeria.
