President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, has dismissed claims by his opponents, that he wants to remain in power for life.
Nguesso, in an interview with the France24 News channel, on political, economic and social issues in the Republic of Congo, disclosed that ‘‘I am not God and I have not said that I will be president for life.
The 73-year-old leader, who has ruled the Central African country for over three decades, is one of Africa’s longest-serving rulers.
