Ondo state government’s enlarged cabinet members on Saturday paid a condolence visit to Governor Rotimi Akerodolu in Ibadan.
The visitors were received by Governor Rotimi Akerodolu at the residence of his late mother in Orogun area of Ibadan.
The Cabinet was led by the state’s Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and included Commissioners, Special Assistants to the Governor, Permanent Secretaries, and other government appointees.
In his condolence message, the Deputy Governor said the Governor should be grateful for surviving his aged mother who lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
He prayed God to grant the Governor the fortitude to bear the loss as the death of an aged mother comes with mixed feelings.
The Oniju Odo of Iju Odo, Oba Festus Olumoyegun who spoke on behalf of the Traditional Rulers thanked the governor for being benevolent to the people of his town and the entire state.
He promised their unflinching support in ensuring that a befitting burial is given to the Governor’s mother.
Mrs Grace Akeredolu, mother of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, died earlier this week at age 90.
