Some Christian youths were killed during a procession, leading to reprisal killings of law enforcement officials, suspected to be responsible for the tragic incident.
In a statement, President Buhari described the violent actions as unfortunate, extending his condolences to families of the victims.
He also condemned the reckless driving and quick resort to self-help and mob action, promising investigation into the sad incident.
